Christmas with Two Littles

Well...Santa came!  And he was REALLY busy Christmas Eve.  Sore and tired, too.  Sound familiar?  The kids got us up around 7:30am.  We changed bums and then let them loose.  We took a lesiurely pace led by their interest in opening new things.  It was really fun for all of us.  Oh, and the kids got PJs on Christmas Eve and we all got to open 1 present.  For the kids that present came from Great Grandma and Grandpa.  Tom opened Jackson's and I opened one of Tom's.

They got a bath before they opened their PJs...

Jackson's had penguins

Belle is getting good at opening bags

But she wasn't sure what to do

Belle's are princess PJs

Daddy's present from Jackson was a Rub-a-Dad shirt.  They both enjoy it

Jackson LOVES driving on Daddy

He even had to get out sister's big car

So sister wanted in on the action

Belle was proud of her present

She actually unwrapped it herself

Jackson wasn't very excited at first

But then he saw what it was.  See his suddenly serious face?

This ended up being one of his favorites.  But we knew it would be.  His therapist brings it and he eats it up.  He even talks when he plays with it.

Belle tried to join in and he didn't like that

I told him not to take a picture of me!!!

We took these after Santa came by.  Jackson's present is under the TV and Belle's is the tent and bead track

Belle's gifts

These were for both of them

This picture has saved us mroe than once when the kids tore it apart.  We threw away the papers and can't find a picture online.

Full and heavy stockings

Pretty sure we found Jackson naked.  But now he is ready to go

He laid eyes on the stash...

Oh, he loves it!!

Belle got a few minutes with hers before Jackson took over

They also enjoyed the treats

Always at eye level with his cars...
 Wrapper and all...

Look Mommy!!

What's this?

What else is in there?

Is it a bat?

CANDY!!

She loves to stand but she won't walk

Reading a new book with Daddy

Ready to open a present.  He insisted I take a picture.

Doctor stuff!

She didn't quite get the candy necklace concept

She did good but needed help

And then things got crazy and the camera got buried.  But I think you can tell everyone had fun.  It was a fun happy day with just our little family.  Then I packed a few toys into each kid's bag and we went to Grandma's for a couple hours before coming home to relax.  Merry Christmas!!  I am so looking forward to next year already.  I think the kids will be much more excited, making it mroe fun for us.
