Life's a Beach

Well, we went to Pineview Reservoir up Ogden Canyon almost two weeks ago now and I have been so busy and sick that I just got around to processing all the pictures.  We drove up and picked up a boat with Cindy and her 4 kids.  We were on the lake for 3 days.  Cindy stayed for 2 and shared our hotel room.  The second day, Becky came up to join us for the afternoon.  The last night we had the hotel room to ourselves and the last day we took it slow, checked out and met Lauren on campus.  the plan was to rent a paddle board but we didn't know to get a reservation, so we ended up renting a giant slide on the water instead.  It was still a lot of fun.  We kept that day short because we were so fried and exhausted.  Well, here comes the photo bomb....

When someone is in the water you have to have your flag up...Cindy held ours while giving Becky directions for meeting up with us

Jackson tubed more times than anyone except for maybe Jake...kid loves that tube

And then he would crash out hard in the boat at the end of the day....

Occasionally we would stop to swim in a quiet place....Jackson would jump in and climb back out and do it all over again

Such a cutie....when the other little kids rode in the tube you wouldn't see much of them sticking out above the tube but Jackson is so serious about it

In the beginning the kids were afraid of the loud sounds

Some of the cousins stayed on the beach while we took turns taking people out on the boat.  After Becky arrived we had way too many people to all go out together....

But he also got to go out in the tube a few times

We discovered that the slide is LOADS faster when you dump a pail of water on it

I think we will frame this for a room somewhere at some point...I just love it

All in all, we had a great trip and would love to go again someday.  We'd also like to get our own boat at some point in the future.
