After that we came home for a few days so I could work and Tom could go to class. Then we drove to Idaho and spent a couple days with Grandma Hansen. Dad was gone a lot helping his parents with yard work and other projects. After a few days we drove to La Grande, OR for Dad's dad's family reunion. It was "camping". Aunt Sandra told us the cabins were awful so we brought tents. But we got there first and the cabins were pretty nice, so we claimed a couple. They were wood frame with a wood floor, wood bunks with no padding, and a wood table. The bathrooms were in the "lodge" with the kitchen. It really wasn't so bad and it was only two nights. Ready for the next photo bomb?
Our family was in charge so we did lots of cooking, cleaning, and activities planning
Tom and I were in charge of the auction/raffle that is used to fund the next reunion
My kids spent a lot of time with their cousins Maddy and MerynWheeler
Mom and Dad were in charge of BINGO and Jackson loved yellign out the letters after Grandpa
My kids kept tryign to escape
Tom let his internal business man take over in runnign the auction
This item probably got the most tickets and most of them were ours....Jackson really wanted it so we spent a good deal of money trying to beat the odds
Grandpa Jackson and his siblings
Grandpa Jackson and his posterity (minus Andy and Elise)
Dad, his parents and his siblings
They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids
Jackson got one off a pole
We all had to hold onto our own labeled cup so we wouldn't run out
Sandra!!!
Ben held the bowl so it could be high....
Well, that about wraps it up. We had a lot of fun and it stinsk to be back to normal life. It is only semi normal though because Mom is coming back to visit next week. Yay!!
