How will my garden grow?

Here come the promised pictures of our garden. I think it is very pretty, but it may look quite empty.



Along the fence from left to right we have blackberry, raspberry, blueberry. In the empty looking midsection we have cantaloupe and watermelon on the left side and cucumber and pumpkin on the right side. Along the front from left to right we have garlic, lemon mint, green bell peppers, tomatoes and strawberries. There are also various marigolds planted around to ward off birds.



We laid a weed barrier and then an inch or so of soil conditioner I prefer to call mulch AND installed a sprinkler system (you can see a head in the top and bottom of the left side and the middle of the right side). We hope this will make it very easy to maintain.



We also have 3 grape vines from last year that seem to be growing quite well this year. We hope to get some grapes next summer. We still need to buy a few bags of rubber mulch to put around them instead of the weeds.



What do you think? We hope it all grows well and expect to see the garden much fuller in a couple months.
