I hate paint

We are painting our house because the wood shingles are beyond dry.... it has been a TOTAL disaster. First we went through three crappy sprayers before sticking with the 4th at a cost of $300. Meh! The ladder we had to rent to reach the top of the second floor cost us over $200 for a week and the sprayer disaster ate up almost half of it. The ladder was heavy and hard to maneuver and I have bruises and rope burns to show for it. We also had to return 5 gallons of paint after starting to use it and discovering it was mixed wrong and didn't match. But despite all that we finished the base color today. We just have to do all the trim and power wash the sidewalks and such to try to clean up the mess. Oh, and put my barn star back on the front. I can't wait to do our yard in the spring so everything is all pretty and like a real house (once we finish the staircase and moldings inside the house that is). Here are some pictures of before, with primer, and where we are now (we still haven't taken all the plastic down).

A before shot...

Painted but trim is not done and plastic is still up

Painted with roof color visible

Again, feel free to ask questions...
