Since the wedding we have mostly been plugging away at school. We have, however, made a
tiny bit of progress on the house. For one we cleaned it really well on Saturday for Mandy and Andy to come see it. They hadn't seen it since before we got started on our part. So our house in nice and clean now! :-) Tom managed to install the little heater vent duct thing that was missing in the guest bedroom, so now we are ready to lay the floor in there. We also put up some Christmas decorations. We have been shopping sales and stuff and have a decent collection now that didn't cost us much at all. We bought a tree off Craigslist yesterday for $20. I love bargain shopping!! Then we went to Michael's and bought some half priced garland for the mantle and some lights on sale and ornaments for our mini trees all on sale! It's so fun to be decorating for our first Christmas together. It was.......special for lack of a better word, to sit on the floor together each decorating our own mini tree. I love being married! Here are our mini trees:

And our fireplace with stockings: :-)

My scouts had pack meeting this week. Instead of a pine wood derby, we had a turtle derby. It was an amusing race of wooden turtles on strings. It was fun until a few kids got too into it and crying and fighting broke out. I thought it was amusing, so here are some pictures.
The boys were VERY into this activity!
Just a view of the bracket board and leaders...

Anyways, we are still surviving school, maybe even better than we had felt like we were but it is still hard enough to be somewhat depressing at times. I feel like I am barely treading water. But on a happier note, Thanksgiving is next week and we are going to Wyoming. That should be fun, except for the homework I have to bring with me. We also have our next doctor's appointment on Monday before we leave and that is when we will schedule our ultrasound for next month. I'm so excited!!!
